OPM 2103 Operations Management (2-2-3)
Provides a detailed study of organizations’ value added activities from procurement of resources and transformation into manufactured goods and service outputs. It begins with introducing the need for and importance of operations as a function in any organization and furthers to highlight how operations is linked to organization’s strategy. The course introduces students to the basics techniques used in Capacity Planning, Location Planning, Product design and development, Inventory Management, Process selection and facility layout design, Procurement, logistics and basics of Quality Management
