Program Mission

The Bachelor of Human Resource Management program at Higher Colleges of Technology aims to produce skilled professionals adept at navigating the complexities of HR management. Our mission is to equip graduates with the knowledge and competencies needed to excel in managerial and practitioner roles, both locally and globally, while also fostering skills in innovation, ethics, and entrepreneurship.  With a focus on independent thinking and teamwork, our program aims to develop critical thinkers capable of solving problems, making recommendations for improvements, and utilizing advanced Human Resource Management tools. By fostering a deep understanding of contemporary HR dynamics and aligning with evolving industry demands, our graduates are poised to play pivotal roles in shaping the future landscape of human resource management in the UAE and beyond. 

Program Description

The Bachelor of Human Resource Management program at Higher Colleges of Technology offers a rigorous academic journey designed to equip students with the indispensable knowledge, skills and competence essential for success in HRM roles. Through a curriculum emphasizing practical application, students engage deeply with the nuances of human resource management, underpinned by a diverse range of analytical frameworks. Graduates emerge prepared to excel in managerial and practitioner positions within both public and private sector organizations, prepared to facilitate organizational success and make substantial contributions to societal progress.

  4. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in operational, administrative, technical, and strategic aspects of human resource management functions applicable in diverse contexts. 
  5. Demonstrate effective writing, listening, and oral communication skills in Human Resource Management roles and functions, utilizing technologies appropriately.
  6. Analyze challenges within various business disciplines critically and employ relevant research skills to formulate cohesive and innovative Human Resource Management strategies and solutions that enhance organizational performance and employee well-being.
  7. Apply employment laws and ethical standards in decision-making processes within both global and local frameworks, addressing sustainability and social responsibility concerns.

 To qualify for the bachelor's degree, a student is required to: 

  • Successfully complete the required number of credits and courses specific to the program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. 
  • Complete 100 hours of volunteering. 
  • Meet the residency requirement that a minimum of 50% of the program credit requirements have been completed at the HCT.
